The second Milers hold class on Sunday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. We believe that the Lord has enriched our hearts with "joy". We express that joy is singing and studying God's word. We sing old gospel hymns accompanied by guitar and piano. Sometimes we get a little carried away and sing "Country Roads".

We just completed our studies in the book of "James" and are looking into what God's spiritual riches have provided us in the book of "Ephesians." We have monthly meetings at various members' home, at the church, or at a local restaurant. Our president, Louise S., plans the meetings and Carmen C. is our class treasurer. Annual events include a corn roast during the summer and a Christmas party during the holidays.

We have a good time of fellowshipping. We may be considered the oldest class in the church. Many of our members have been part of Akron First Church for over fifty years. On behalf of the second milers, we welcome you to come and visit our class and share the joy of serving our Lord and Savior.
