Disciples Sunday School Class

Welcome to The Disciples Sunday School Class

Who are we?

We’re a Sunday School class whose typical attendance is about 8 to 15 people.  That’s a nice size that enables us to know each other well, and we end up having a lot of fun!  Most of us are 40- or 50-something in age, but we cheerfully welcome visitors and new members of any age.

When and where do we meet?

The Disciples meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:20 (before the Worship Service at 10:30.)  We meet in the downstairs adult classroom area, second door on the right.

What have our teachers been teaching?

Our teachers are Ralph, Andy, and John.  Ralph spent several years teaching Campus Crusade for Christ’s excellent series, Ten Basic Steps Toward Christian Maturity.  (If this series interests you, it’s currently being studied in the Crusaders’ Class.)  More recently, Ralph taught from the book World Religions and Cults 101.

To give Ralph some much-deserved time off, Andy has taught recently.  Andy taught from Lee Strobel’s excellent book The Case for Christ, and this was followed by a great series of apologetics videos featuring Norman Geisler and Gary Habermas.  After that, Andy led discussion through the helpful series Stressed-Out:  Keeping It Together When It’s Falling Apart.  This insightful series covered how to handle stress from several common sources:  stress from worry, work, failure, conflict, loss, and burnout.  Most recently, Andy finished presenting a fascinating and thought-provoking series of Intelligent Design videos.

Starting Sunday, August 17th, John will begin teaching our class with a series on the Lord’s Prayer.  Come join us to explore the depths of this rich model of prayer!

Come visit us!

All in all, we’re a friendly bunch of people on life’s journey of getting closer to each other as we get closer to Jesus.  We’d love to have you join us, especially if you’re a little strange or a little crazy – you’ll fit right in!
